25-Year-Old Renton Man Missing

RENTON, Wash. -- Renton police are looking for a 25-year-old man who has been missing since Friday, Jan. 22.

The family of Jason Masangkay told police when they last saw him he was distraught over work related matters.

Police said Masangkay is a fitness buff who routinely goes for long walks from his home in northwest Renton to surrounding areas like Tukwila and Kent. Police said he often stops to eat at restaurants along the way.

On weekends he would often visit SeaTac Airport and frequented the Tukwila Community Center.

Masangkay is described as Asian, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 165 pounds, black hair and he may have a mustache or goatee. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a navy blue windbreaker jacket, black shoes and carrying a backpack.

Police said because Masangkay may be emotionally unstable, the public is urged not to contact him directly.

Anyone who has seen Masangkay since the morning of Jan. 22 or know of his current whereabouts should call 911 or the Renton Police Department at 425- 430-7500 and reference Renton PD case #2010-952.
