Georgia Woman Missing Without A Trace

Debora Gail DeLoach Moody chose the rural life. She loved Long County, Ga., where she would sit outside and watch the deer and wild turkeys.
She is described as being very loving and always willing to help someone out. She had plenty of chances to move to a more populated part of town, but police say she opted to stay in the mobile home because it was one of the only places around where the landlord would allow her to keep her cat and several dogs inside.
Investigators say that on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007, Debora left work and drove to a friend's house. Together they drove out to the trailer to drop off a few items. Debora's friend left around 6 p.m., and everything seemed to be fine. Police say this is the last time anyone has seen Debora.

Countless Leads Not Getting Police Answers

Debora didn't report for work the rest of the week. On Sunday, her family stopped by the trailer to check on her. They found her car in the driveway, her purse in the trailer, her dogs in the yard, but no sign of Debora. Police say there was no obvious indication of a struggle, and nothing to suggest foul play. A search of the nearby farm land by police yielded nothing.

"It's like she fell off the face of the earth," Detective Ty Smith of the Long County Sheriff's Department says.
Detective Smith has also told AMW how he plans to retire in May and really wants to solve this case before he retires. Despite working day and night and following countless leads, he has hit nothing but dead ends.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation, also on the case, has very few clues to work with, but agents hope that with the help of America's Most Wanted, Deborah's family will have the answers they so desperately want. As her son Christian tells AMW, "Nobody should have this happen to their family and not get any answers.”
Police believe that someone knows what happened to Debora Moody, and they are asking for the public's help to bring her back home. If you know anything about her whereabouts, please call 1-800-CRIME-TV. Remember, you can remain anonymous.
